Sam is a corporate lawyer with vast experience advising small businesses during periods of growth and transition, including formation, debt and equity financings, mergers and acquisitions, partnerships, operational improvements, and liquidity events.

As a “Big Law” lawyer at Foley & Lardner LLP, Sam advised large corporations and private equity firms, and now brings that same level of service and sophistication to the SMB/ETA community.

Prior to Foley & Lardner LLP, Sam worked at PwC, a “Big 4” accounting firm.

Since 2016, Sam has founded and operated Pursuant Capital, a holding company focused on acquiring small businesses with a “forever” holding period.

Sam is a 2014 graduate of the University of Virginia Law School and is licensed to practice law in Florida.
